STEMist Hacks Starts in Ten Days! Updates, FAQ's, and Reminders
Hey all, Justin here!
As the day of the hackathon gets closer and closer, I wanted to provide a few updates, reminders, and FAQ's regarding STEMist Hacks. But first and foremost, thank you all so much for registering! It truly means a lot to our team back at STEMist Education. Thank you!
First, if you haven't already, make sure to fill out the official Google Form signup, so we have necessary insights on all our participants for your experience!
Also make sure to join our hackathon Discord if you haven't already! It is our main communication method, so make sure to join if you want to be updated!
Promotional Video
We've created a small little promotional video for STEMist Hacks! Let's increase the excitement for this hackathon, shall we?

We have prizes for our first, second, and third place winners, as well as a popular vote winner! And of course, we have 5 raffle prizes and prizes/swag for everybody that participates!
Frequently Asked Questions
We've recieved a couple of questions on our hackathon Discord (which you should totally join by the way), and I wanted to address a few questions that were commonly asked.
Q: Will speaker talks be recorded?
A: It depends on the speaker themselves, if they choose so. For the most part, they will be recorded and released in a future email.
Q: What are we actually doing in this event?
A: Participants will be working individually or in teams in this 58 hour hackathon to create any project they wish that is "tech-related" (this is left purposefully vague for your own interperation). This could include MANY different topics, so go wild!
Q: Are cross submissions allowed? What are the rules for it?
A: Yes, for this rendition of STEMist Hacks they are allowed! The submissions have to come from another hackathon that is equal or less in length (that is less than or equal to 58 hours), and you can only have worked on it during that period of time. You will still have to submit it in the necessary format though.
If you have any more questions, do not be afraid to contact us in our discussion format or in our Discord!
New Sponsors
I cannot thank our gracious sponsors enough for their contributions. Without their help, none of this could happen! Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and partners, listed below in no particular order:
Thank you again.
That's it for today. I look forward to seeing you all at the hackathon!
Thank you,
Justin Zhang- Lead Hackathon Organizer
